Their use of English is limited and some are better than others, but all are trying hard. I'm reliant on a translator for all my lessons which speeds up the delivery. Not saying that they understand everything I say. It is a common tendency to smile and nod your head politely when totally lost. Same way with college students back in the US.

That's what the so-called the "development" brings to you. Money can buy everything--somewhat true but not all are true. The economic mainstream is making you feel money can buy everything. Part of happiness can be purchased but not all. Sadly, this globalization is getting everywhere, no exception even in rural areas. It's just the matter of when--sooner or later.

ReplyDeleteThe dream of many with a simple lifestyle is more wealth, yet it most always produces complications. And for those who have money, many wish they had never opened Pandora's box. So be careful what you wish for. Freedom and wealth is a dangerous combination. In other words, lambs turn into lions.
